Jewish
Children’s Folkshul Passover Community Seder 4/13/08
Dear Folkshul Families:
Our annual Folkshul Passover
Seder will be held on Sunday,
April 13, 2008.
Classes will meet from 10:00-10:50
AM; teachers will bring the
children to the Cafeteria. The Seder will begin at 11:00
AM. To insure that the
Seder begins on time, we are asking parents and guests to
arrive by 10:45,
in order to locate seats. We are hoping that this will
prevent a mad scramble for seats when the children arrive from
class and will allow everyone to be seated in a more timely
fashion.
Guests are most certainly welcome
and we encourage you to invite grandparents, family members and
friends. We would truly appreciate it if you would let us know how
many guests you think you are going to have. This will allow us to
set the proper amount of tables and be sure that we have enough
food and drink for everyone to enjoy. If
you wish to bring guests please let Margie know how many
(margiesinger@verizon.net
) by April 9th. If your family is unable
attend, please also let her know.
We are requesting each family to
provide a dish or beverage so that everyone will find a balanced
Seder feast at their table. Please review the list below to find
your family’s food assignment as well as set-up or clean up
assignment. Please bring all food to the cafeteria no later
than 10:00 a.m.
Label any serving pieces and remember to pick them up after the
meal. If you will not be attending please send your assigned
food with someone else.
Parents of children in Grades
5, 6, 7 and 8/9 are asked to help set up at 10:00
AM to
insure tables are ready by 10:45
AM.
Parents of children in Grades K/ 1, 2, 3, and 4 are asked to
help clean up. We ask that everyone pitch in to clear
tables and wrap left-over food, etc. The more hands we have, the
quicker the job is done. Of course, all volunteers are
welcome and appreciated.
In addition, please let us know (margiesinger@verizon.net
) if you
can lend a Seder Plate (we need 15 in all) or bring 15 shank bones
(or symbolic substitute).
