classes at Springside)
Bring
a picnic lunch; friends & family; blanket, tarp or chairs;
fruits, vegetables and other objects to decorate the Sukkah.
Please, no pets or glass bottles!
Dress
for outdoor weather -- in the event of rain, the program will be
held indoors at Springside.
If the weather is questionable, call

Note
that the bathrooms are a good walking distance from our meeting
grounds --
you may want to stop there first
before heading to the site
(they are near Parking Lot #5 in the Militia Hill Day Use area).

Directions
Ft.
Washington State Park entrance is on Militia Hill Rd, off of Route
73/Church Road.
A close landmark is the Bent Elbow Tavern
at the intersection of Route 73/Church Rd. and Bethlehem Pike.
Note - The Militia Hill Rd. entrance we use is a different one than
the Park Office entrance on Bethlehem Pike.

Springside School: From Cherokee Street, turn
left onto Willow Grove Avenue, follow Willow Grove to Stenton
Avenue.
Turn left onto Stenton, follow to Bethlehem Pike (stay straight,
don't turn left back onto Stenton).
Take Bethlehem Pike to Route 73/Church Road/Skippack Pike.
Turn left onto Rt 73 and then left onto Militia Hill Rd.
Make first left at Park entrance, follow road, and turn right
onto Militia Hill Day Use Area.
Drive up hill to Campground A at the end of the road. This
is beyond the site we used in 2005. Park in the lot just
before the site.

Cheltenham: Take Route 73/Church Road (West) to
Bethlehem Pike.
Turn right onto Bethlehem Pike and then a quick left back onto
Route 73 (follow signs for 73, the Bent Elbow Tavern is the
landmark).
Make the first left onto Militia Hill Rd. Make first left
at Park entrance, follow road, and turn right onto Militia Hill
Day Use Area.
Drive up hill to Campground A at the end of the road. This is
beyond the site we used in 2005. Park in the lot just
before the site.

Rt 202: Take Route 73 (East) /Skippack Pike. Turn
right onto Militia Hill Road (next street after Joshua Road
intersection; if you've reached Bethlehem Pike/ Bent Elbow
Tavern you've gone too far. Make first left at Park
entrance, follow road, and turn right onto Militia Hill Day Use
Area. Drive up hill to Campground A at the end of the
road. This is beyond the site we used in 2005. Park in the
lot just before the site.

PA Turnpike: Exit Ft. Washington (Exit 339) to
Pennsylvania Avenue. At end of road, turn left onto Bethlehem
Pike.
Follow Bethlehem Pike to Route 73 West. Turn right onto Rt
73 at the Bent Elbow Tavern. Make first left onto Militia Hill
Road.
Make first left at Park entrance, follow road, and turn right
onto Militia Hill Day Use Area. Drive up hill to
Campground A at the end of the road. This is beyond the site we
used in 2005. Park in the lot just before the site.
